The Purpose of Testing

(Last edited: Friday, 4 January 2008, 1:48 PM)

God is more concerned with our character than with our achievements. Achievements have importance only in the realm of time. Character is eternal. It determines what we will be through eternity.

MP3Romans is a unique combination of the spiritual and intellectual without parallel in human literature. It unfolds the most sublime spiritual truths in terms of the most flawless logic. It will not merely illuminate your spirit, it will also challenge your intellect.

The Source of Strength

(Last edited: Tuesday, 16 October 2007, 11:18 AM)

MP3Basically, you talk about power, people's ears open. You talk about healing and they'll come almost endlessly. You can talk about other dramatic aspects of Christian ministry and people are ready to listen. But I hear very, very little that's really being taught about God Himself. I want to suggest to you that anything that is not rooted in God is going to be swept away by the floods of evil.

The Source of Strength

MP3God's primary desire is not to bring us into a covenant or into a law or into a promised land. But its to bring us to Himself. That's His deepest longing. And His firmest purpose. And I want to suggest to you that it's the only place of safety in the contemporary world, its to have that deep, intimate, personal relationship with the Lord Himself.

The Source of Strength

MP3I want to emphasize that if you bypassed God, you've missed it all. If you're just interested in doctrine or church structure or even missions, but you're not wrapped up in God, you're missing it. God will bless you, He'll help you, He'll do what He can for you. But I believe if you could hear what's going on in heaven, you'd hear a deep sob in the heart of God, "They want everything I have to offer, but they're not interested in Me."

MP3One night in 1941 in an army barrack room somewhere about midnight when no one else was awake, I had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. And in that encounter, I discovered I had met the Answer. And then a little later I read in Colossians concerning Jesus Christ, "In Him are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." And I said to myself, "Why should I grub around any longer in the rubbish bins of human wisdom when all the treasures are hidden in Jesus Christ?"

They Shall Expel Demons

(Last edited: Tuesday, 16 October 2007, 11:22 AM)

They shall expelI felt as if a heavy burden had been lifted from my shoulders. I was free! All my life had been under that oppression...I discovered quickly that freedom was normal and that oppression was abnormal.

They Shall Expel Demons

(Last edited: Tuesday, 16 October 2007, 11:23 AM)

They shall expelGod taught me another important lesson: He would do for me what I could not do for myself, but He would not do for me what He required me to do for myself. God...delivered me from the spirit of heaviness, but...He held me responsible to exercise scriptural discipline over my own thoughts.
